THE CANON EOS 6D MARK II

Offering superb performance, the Canon EOS 6D Mark II camera puts full-frame performance into a compact, fully featured DSLR. Its 26.2 Megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC 7 Image Processor help deliver amazing results even at expanded ISO settings, making it great for challenging low-light situations. The EOS 6D Mark II also features an impressive optical viewfinder with 45 all cross-type AF points*, fast and accurate Dual Pixel CMOS AF and a Vari-angle Touch Screen LCD for Live View operation which helps create unique angles. With the EOS 6D Mark II's speed to capture action and the versatility to create phenomenal photographs and Full HD 60p videos in numerous environments and lighting situations.

The EOS 6D Mark II features a 26.2 effective Megapixel, full-frame CMOS sensor (approx. 35.9mm x 24.0mm) designed to create high-resolution and detailed images as well as take full advantage of Canon’s incredible collection of EF lenses. The EOS 6D Mark II’s sensor delivers an impressive combination of light sensitivity and detail, ideal for high-resolution shooting, and gives the user additional room to crop photos without compromising image quality.

The remarkable shutter and image processing system helps ensure virtually instantaneous response and performance at up to 6.5 fps which is great for helping the user capture fast action.

It is built for uninterrupted performance, even when conditions get messy. The battery compartment cover, card slot cover, lens mount, terminal covers and buttons are weather-sealed to help keep water and dust out. The EOS 6D Mark II’s high precision aluminum alloy and polycarbonate resin construction makes the camera lightweight and durable.

THE NAUTICAM NA-6DMKII UNDERWATER HOUSING

Key camera controls are placed within an easy reach from the ergonomic, rubberized handles.  An incredible amount of design resources go into crafting this layout, but that effort pays off with unmatched ease of use. Controls on the housing are placed exactly where they should be for easiest access in water, regardless of the camera layout. A large, sculpted shutter release lever is placed at the right hand grip for index finger operation, and features a patented geared mechanism that improves sensitivity for tactile feel of half press and full press. The right hand side double thumb lever has been improved with a more ergonomic positioning.  This lever accesses both AF-On and Video Record. The Multi Controller Pad allows full multidirectional use of the 8-way controller, while still allowing for the rear command dial to be brought out to the right side of the housing. No other housing comes close to achieving this kind of ergonomic access to these critical controls. There is even a convenient on/off button and indicator window for use with the optional TTL flash trigger for Canon (26321).

VIEWFINDERS

The standard optical glass viewfinder is very good and travel friendly, but many photographers prefer the ease of a magnified viewfinder with adjustable diopter. Nauticam produces a “straight” 180º enlarging viewfinder and a 45º angled enlarging viewfinder to enhance the ease of close quarters work often associated with macro shooting. Both viewfinders have high quality optics, and allow bright viewing of the entire image. A patented external dioptric adjustment allows personal adjustment to a sharp-as-a-tack standard underwater and viewfinder changes can be executed in less than 30 seconds without using tools. Exceptional composition and focus accuracy have never been more accessible.

PREMIUM PROFESSIONAL OPTICS

Experienced shooters know a camera is only as good as the lens in front of it, and the same is true when choosing optics for an underwater camera system.  Four optically coated glass dome ports (250mm, 230mm, 180mm, and 140mm diameters) and a series of acrylic ports support popular lenses from Canon, Sigma, and Tokina. Port configurations are extensively tested at Nauticam to determine the ideal extension ring length for best performance.

INTEGRATED VACUUM CHECK AND LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM

The Nauticam vacuum check and leak detection system is shipped with NA-6DMKII as standard equipment.  Combined with an accessory vacuum valve (PN 25625), this monitoring system provides constant updates on the water tight and safe-to-dive status of the housing.  A simple color coded LED lighting system lets the user know that the vacuum is solid, or that the housing is losing vacuum. Leak detection is built into the same circuit, so if there is water intrusion, an audible and visual indication will occur.

The Nauticam system is temperature compensated, eliminating false alarms caused by a change in outside temperature, or from a camera heating up on an action packed dive.
