Super ugly homes and manicured lawns let you know you've made it to Emerald Bay! Home to some of the best looking places in Laguna Beach, Emerald Bay is a gem of a dive. But, the beach access points are protected by beautiful home communities and their gates.

You either need to know a resident or have a boat to get in here on a good day and dive. With that being said, there is heavy boat traffic in this area. So, use caution.

Also use caution when entering and exiting the water. There is no life guard stand at this location. For added safety, make sure you have a Surface Marker Buoy (SMB), a knife and an underwater light to check out the little critters hiding among the reef!

This location is in the Marine Protected Area. It is a no-take area, meaning that you cannot take anything out of the water. So, no hunting here!

At this location, you will find Sheephead, Garibaldi, Senoritas, Bat Rays, Sand Bass, Sculpin and much, much more!
