Join us as we travel to the one of a kind Turneffe Island Resort located on a remote Caribbean island located just off the coast of Belize and just 30 miles away from the world famous Great Blue Hole!
This luxury get away will offer 7 nights stay with 15 single-tank dives with trips to Lighthouse Reef, Blue Hole, and one night dive. As you get back to the resort from your dives the valet service will transport and clean all of your equipment from dive to dive. The boats will return back to the resorts for each surface interval this way you are able to eat, refuel, and recharge for the next dive.
The dives are led by one of their six Dive Masters, including two Master Instructors and a Master Trainer. With the option of 32 dive sites available the Dive Masters will be with you from day one to assess your skill and assure you are comfortable based on the sites they will be going to. The most legendary dive site you'll be visiting will be The Great Blue Hole which was made famous by oceanographer and diver, Jacques Cousteau. Known for being decorated with stalactites and plenty of sharks. Sailing his ship the Calypso he ventured into the depths of the Great Blue Hole in 1971 and declared it one of the top ten dive sites on Earth.
Your day at the Great Blue Hole will be a whole day affair, it is about an hour and a half boat ride away from the resort. From there you will begin at Lighthouse Reef where you will start your exploration of the Great Blue Hole and from there cruise over to Half Moon Caye and Long Caye Wall. This cave was originally a limestone cave that flooded and collapsed about thousands years ago during the Ice Age. It is located at the center of Lighthouse Reef about 60-miles off the coast of Belize, it is the largest underwater sinkhole in the world measuring at 984 feet wide and 410 feet deep.
Prefer the luxury of lounging around on the beach vs the thrill of a dive? Or just looking to take a break between dives? There is plenty of ways to do that here! From paddle boarding and kayaking to relaxing in one of the twelve hammocks or poolside the island is yours for the taking when it comes to complementary activities. Grab your favorite book or board game and relax! You can even see the resident cat Hobie!
Relaxing at the spa more your style? Don't worry they have you covered there too! With two massage therapists on site they offer twelve different treatments and have one daily special. From treatments such as seaweed advanced sunburn relief wrap, hot stone therapy, deep tissue massage, body scrubs, mud wraps, and more available!
Offering a five-star culinary experience fusing traditional Belizean fare with worldly flavors, from fresh coffee delivered straight to your door before sunrise to an evening BBQ after sunset every Friday, your meals are caters with quality and care. You'll be fed three hot meals a day, poolside hors d'oeurvres before dinner, snacks available all day in the dining room, and a Sunday night traditional Belizean dinner. When the sunsets you'll get to enjoy cocktail hour poolside over coconut cocktails and canapes where you'll get to meet new friends and swap exciting dive stories of the day all while being entertained by the resident magician and other delights. Then on Friday night let the Belizean BBQ and crab chase and race begin!! Get a (crab) leg up on the competition, and find a winning crab for the weekly crab race: search in the shadows, and look out for a big shell – they’re the big winners.
