Puerto Galera is well known for its numerous scuba diving spots. The area was designated a Man and Biosphere Reserve of UNESCO in 1973 and has some of the most diverse coral reef diving in Asia located at the very heart of the ‘Coral Triangle’. The area also features numerous pocket beaches and stunning tropical scenery.

The Diving:

Enjoy the use of individual purpose-built equipment storage cubby-holes keep your equipment dry and organized, spacious and comfortable boats, a fresh beach towel along with snacks and water between dives, and a hot water shower in the dive shop for after dives. 

From wide angle to macro, Puerto Galera offers over 40 dive sites along its coast, with great diversity: from relaxed critter diving (haven for photographers!) with an abundance of reef fish, to wonderful drift dives,a couple of small wrecks, and a day trip to the incredible Verde Island. With several inner bays offer shallow coral gardens and sandy patches, while the outer bay walls offer incredibly vivid corals, with canyons, swim throughs, rock formations and a couple of small wrecks with heaps of reef fish.

We will get to enjoy unlimited scheduled boat diving, up to four dives a day and one night dive per day. With flexible dive options at 8:30am, 10:30am, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm (night dives available every day). Choice of dive site each time (talk to our guides about where you want to go and what you want to see). Small groups (no more than 6 people). Most dive spots within ten minutes of the resort. Private dives available. Day Trips to Verde Island and Anilao (Puerto Galera) and Apo Island, Siquijor, Oslob and Sumilon (Dumaguete).

Enjoy learning more about the underwater world with detailed presentations on marine life and the locale area. As well as some entertaining and educational videos filmed by National Geographic. Along with a spacious climate controlled camera room for pre-dive camera prep. There are air guns distributed around the room as well as power sockets (110 and 220 volts) and paper towel dispensers. A shelf running the length of the work surface provides space for battery chargers. Six fluorescent wall lights provided additional illumination. The room also has 2 internet-ready desktop PC’s for guests to view their photos.

Travel Arrangements:

Airfare is not included. Puerto Galera lies on the northern tip of the island of Oriental Mindoro, approximately 110km south of Manila. You will need to book your own airfare it is recommended for arrival advised starting the transfers as early as possible with 8:00 AM or earlier optimal.  We can begin transfers later however any requests for transfers later than 12:00 PM have significant potential for delay should any weather-related issues or nighttime restrictions apply.*  Departure: On your departure from Manila we recommend flights that depart after 3 pm.

From Manila you will take a van down to Batangas where a water taxi will be waiting to take you to Puerto Galera and depending on the port a car from there to the resort. It will be the opposite leaving the resort.* 

The Resort:

Staying in a deluxe room each room is equipped with air-conditioning, fully stocked mini bar with refrigerator, cable T.V with movie and sports channels, in-room safety deposit box, Wi-fi available in all rooms. Rooms are double occupancy and have either 1 double bed or 1 double bed and 1 twin bed. 

Indulge yourself in any one of a number of services or experiences to make your dive vacation complete. Whether it’s shopping for native gifts; pampering yourself with a massage or pedicure; or just relaxing with a cocktail by the pool their courteous staff will ensure your every whim is catered for.

Enjoy the bar and restaurant known for its fine dining and use of fresh local products and flavors. With daily menu changes, theme nights, and a Mongolian Wok!  Choose from an extensive list of cocktails and shakes or enjoy the best coffee in town. Toko’s is quoted by the world renowned “Lonely Planet” travel guide book as “world class cuisine”. The world famous beach front “50 Bar”, is where many of our guests start their evening relaxation before heading off for dinner. Enjoy a great selection of music, one of the finest single malt collections in the Philippines as well as many other class offerings. *We provide Atlantis concierge round-trip transfers between Manila and Puerto Galera at a cost of US$170.00 per person based on 6+ people travelling together, otherwise, a different rate applies. The rate includes being met by our driver at Manila Airport, a partner hotel or the Makati area, (surcharges may apply for other areas) an air-conditioned van to Batangas, a fast water taxi between Berberabe and Puerto Galera, and a vehicle to the resort if required (depending on which pier you arrive at)
